Anyone is merely guessing, but leastwise ii more years of iOS abide, which would place the iPhone 7 at iOS 15 at the very most. (With iOS 14 beingness the least.)

Equal if it's hush up supported, why would you still require to use an iPhone 7? I'm still rocking my 7+ but itching bad for a recent iPhone. We are missing out on a long ton of new technical school in newer iPhones.

We are now down thusly at home more often. I have iMacs, laptops, iPads so the earphone isnt really used that more than away either of us any longer so beyond quick phone calls and text, thats about all its being misused for these days.
Spent are the days I needed to have the latest.
We have 2 unlimited data plans only are lucky if we use 2 1/2 gilbert each month per phone.

Gone are the days I necessary to have the latest.
We take 2 unlimited data plans but are lucky if we use 2 1/2 G all month per phone.
The 7 is capable, 2 more years at the to the lowest degree is a safe bet, get a no-contract be after so you can get lower monthly fees.

Symmetric if information technology's still supported, why would you still want to use an iPhone 7? I'm still rocking my 7+ but itchiness bad for a refreshing iPhone. We are missing out on a ton of spick-and-span technical school in newer iPhones.
iPhone 7 is tranquillize a great telephone set. I'd argue the newest phones aren't really that much different in day to day usage.

Havent had a contract architectural plan in about a decade and bribe our phones outright.
Had been looking at a contract 2 year deal at a rare but amazing Mary Leontyne Pric that gave a recent eager new iPhone in with the deal.
Why I was inquisitive the living of these deuce 7s but hearing about 2 years, I decided to stay with the still more expensive plan for now for a few other reasons.
Incline to agree with the above poster, that the new phones arent really all that different in daytime to Clarence Shepard Day Jr. usage, leastwise in our case.
Thanks to everyone that answered allowing me to arrive at a better educated guess, choosing to flummox and stay at the moment.

The 7 will continue to be supported for a good while yet. IT's a solid gimmick with secure specification.
I'm still victimization an SE and with iOS 13 and it's bully, and that's a year elder (of sorts).
Don't occupy active the 7 existence phased pit anytime soon.

I have a 6S. Even if iOS13 is the last one, it's fine. Sure, I'll atomic number 4 reading these forums wishing I had all those new cool iOS14 features (the likes of, umm, extra dark mode? Exciting new Mail bugs?) but I'll survive.
I hardly use it asunder from American Samoa a FaceTime and iMessage backup while my phone is upgrading, as it's rattling slow, but my 1st gen iPad miniskirt runs iOS9 and still boots and workings ok.

Even if it's still supported, why would you inactive deprivation to use of goods and services an iPhone 7? I'm still rocking my 7+ but itching bad for a new iPhone. We are missing out on a ton of new tech in newer iPhones.
Its still a same capable phone. Guess it will phase out when the iPad 6 phases out as well.

I wouldn't call an sr. iPhone model capable of running a newer version of iOS "support". Hundreds of millions of iPhones became unbearable to use in the past due to slowdowns and battery drain because they were "upgraded" to a newer version of iOS. I'd hardly call in that support.
Historically, iOS upgrades have been the number 1 "Orcinus orca" of iPhones since the beginning. Mayhap "killer" is besides strong a word, but "crippler" certainly isn't.
The "support" you're interested in is parts availability in the approaching, and after 5 years, everything Aplle makes becomes officially obsolete. But they've priced all their repairs out the roof anyhow, so it rarely makes profitable sense to vivify an elder model iPhone.

+1 to the "doesn't ignoble it will stop working" comment.
Can you believe I just spotted a blue 5C in the wild nowadays? An older valet de chambre awheel his bike (complete with helmet on) stopped into a McDonald's and was using a 5C! Information technology was then cool to see, lol. Made ME remember how much I likable that particular model.
I'm using a white 5c (non A my main iPhone, but I use it when I'm not at home), and I really the likes of IT. It's running iOS 9 and workings... Okay. It's non hurried, but it's not unbearably slow either. Battery aliveness is surprisingly decent, at around 5-6 hours of custom.
IT's really comfortable to use and hold, As well. I have seen at least 10 in the last few months, in the waste.
Unalterable emended:

I was using the 6S until recently, would you advocate upgrading to the 7 operating room 8? I'd def end up deliverance approximately money buying the 7.

Planned obsolescence. My iPhone 6 is dragging always since the iOS 12 climb. It is a pain to utilise and the battery drains out within no time

Have you ever considered that your slow performance and poor battery life is down to the BATTERY itself. If you oasis't replaced information technology, that battery is coming connected 5 years old. Batteries DO clothing out and the performance will suffer as a lead. This ISN't something limited to Apple products and it's not something that Apple has magically resolved either, information technology's a limitation of the current battery tech.

I have an iPhone 7 I got in January 2022 it's still a bad fast and with child iPhone I opine iOS 14 or 15 is the last iOS update it's going away to get it's probably a rumor though I'm not sure how long-staple it will get updated for we will cause to visualize what Apple says
